The people of ancient India expressed their philosophical ideas and summarized their worldview by using textile. Over the centuries, they have created a rich and glorious textile tradition. Sanskriti's textile collection encompasses Indian textiles dated from 19th century onwards. This small but fine collection has some of the best examples of patolu, bandhani, embroideries, kalamkari, appliqué work, brocades, gota work, etc.

While a small display of textiles is currently maintained within the Museum of Everyday Art, an independent Museum of Textiles is in the process of being readied, and is a part of Sanskriti's ongoing commitment to preserve and nurture the creative vitality of Indian culture.

Please check this page regularly for updates on the Textile Museum.
